IBM, Microsoft, and other companies are set to challenge Google and other Web search tools of today with answer products designed to tell people what they want to know, as well as what they never knew they needed. But with the focus on the 'answer,' how do information professionals guarantee the value of information delivered to our clients or patrons? Whatever changes today's and tomorrow's technologies may bring about, information professionals will first need to know what people do with information or want to do with it. As information professionals, we need to organize knowledge about our clients and non-clients -- into useful and reliable strategic intelligence.
Come to SCOUG's 2004 retreat and help build the ultimate 'Client-Bot'!"
